With the weather getting warmer, we’re starting to think more and more about putting our music (and ourselves) outside. OSD Audio has obviously been thinking about it for a while, because the company just introduced two new speakers designed to go outside.
First up is the PS520 Omni Planter Speakerpair. These weather-resistant speakers aren’t just designed to live outside, but they can actually be used as real garden planters as well. Talk about flower power!
Gardening geeks can dump soil right above the speaker cavity. There’s also a built-in water drainage hose, so users can water and care for plants without damaging the speakers. Designed to deliver sound up to 400 square feet, the speakers feature an omnidirectional design, a 5.25-inch woofer polypropylene cone with rubber surround, a 0.62-inch polycarbonate tweeter, and a frequency response of 60Hz-20kHz. Sold in pairs, the PS520 Omni Planter Speaker is currently selling now for $84.95.
If you prefer something for the pretty birdies, OSD also just released the OSD Bird House Omni Speaker. Featuring 100 watts of power handling, the Bird House Omni Speaker boasts an excellent base response via SoundPort technology, a 5-inch down-firing driver, and the option to fill up to 500 square of space with sound. Designed to hang on trees, the roof, eaves, or anywhere else you can hang a birdhouse, the OSD Bird House Omni Speaker is selling now for $99.95.
